Welcome to Magnetic North, a speciality coffee roaster based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. I’m Fede – founder, director, and lifelong coffee enthusiast.

Magnetic North is the result of a nearly two-decade journey that’s taken me from Montevideo to Madrid, London, and finally Yorkshire — a path shaped by international experience, constant learning, and a deepening sense of purpose.

Throughout my life, I’ve been driven by an entrepreneurial spirit — one that’s led me to take bold steps, from moving across continents to shaping a career that reflects both personal growth and curiosity. Eventually, that spirit led me to pursue a long-held ambition: not just to roast exceptional coffee, but to help raise the bar for quality coffee in the North of England.

Originally from Uruguay, I fell in love both in and with the UK, over a decade ago. Since then, I’ve made the North of England my home. Drawn to its raw beauty and the warmth and honesty of its people, I found the perfect place to bring Magnetic North to life.

Our mission is simple: to roast outstanding speciality coffee that’s approachable, unpretentious, and made to be shared – whether that’s with old friends or new faces. We believe great coffee should be for everyone.
